Electrical:: Do I need a new stator coil? ('90 Max with 60k)
Thanks Jim, that is a good idea. I'll try it tomorrow. I haven't look at the stator but I read 0.7 ohms all the way around. Maybe a good cleaning will help lower the resistance. I'll post the results. Rich.

Engine & Drivetrain:: Engine vibes
I traded my '05 VMX12 for a new '11 VMX17. I find the engine of my VMX17 doesn't run as smoothly as my VMX12. The vibration isn't huge. If I had my VMX12 I would say the carburetors needed to be synchronized. That's the feeling and type of vibration. Has any one else noticed the same? Or should I have my dealer check it out?

Carburation & Tuning:: K&N Cone filters
I have them on my 1994 Vmax & they work well with a Stage 1 jet kit.
You will have to select the correct jet sizes in the kit for your riding location & exhaust setup.
Also, the pilot air/fuel mixture screws should be re-adjusted.
Tom

The trailer is a 5X8, 5000lb, with ramp, 2X8 treated floor & 15 inch wheels. $3000 for the V-Max, $1000 for the SR500 and $1100 for the trailer or lets make a deal ?
