Got a chunk of metal in rear, went with the new commander2,170-80-15(bias)..its a fatter tire than avon in same size, with a tad more swingarm clearance..I didn't have to move washer with either of them, but avon was closer.only 150 miles so far..
put radial on front 110-80-18..noticably shorter tire and a totally different feel! Way easier turn in,and at low speed wants to fall into turn, had to fight more with old bias tire..with the fattie on rear its taller than stock, and shorter radial on front bikes ass way higher up..I think I'm really gonna like radial. I did notice a little left to right vertical sway about 100ish,didn't go higher..Hoping the height disparaty in the tire doesn't cause issue.

Do your self a favor & watch out for a 17 or 18 inch wheel for the rear. radials make all teh diffrence in the world.

I like the meatier,fat looking tires for rear..I believe Metzler makes a 200-60-15 radial..I would likely go that route with a 2" wider 15" rim..Second choice a 17" with a venture rear..

I have not seen that metzler but have not really looked either. Your gonna have to do some work on the swingarm to get a 200 in there.

Turns out its a 200-70-15,,thats fine,I would get notched braced swingarm if I did.. doubt I'll ever get around to it..Arthritis may cause me to stop riding...Or I may have last hoorah on Gen2,Lol...Front radial feels great!
