spin on oil filter adapter

I just found out that Yamaha is offering a spin on union addapter .
I never really looked for this before so dont know how long its been out there....

Still need newer cross brace

will this allow for a conversion to a spin on filter for the older models?i would like to do that to my 95.

What I think what Bones is seeing is just the threaded part that goes into the block for the filter to spin onto. It will not convert your oil filter from a cartridge type to the spin on. You will still need a new base plate that attaches to the block, which Yamaha does not make, and the notched frame crossmember. Hope this helps.

Cycle One Off makes the whole conversion kit or try Morley's Muscle Sean can get just about anything.

I have a cycle one off conversion on my 88. It was easy to install, looks nice, and have had no problems, so far. It sure makes a filter change easy.
