I'm thinking of replacing the OEM bars on my 2006 with flats. I have Galfer dual brake and clutch lines. I'm wondering what to expect in regards to having excess cables etc after removing the OEM's?

I have had no issues. There was plenty of length in the lines. No binding. Makes the bike feel and look so much better.
