Hello, maxers. I have a question about the running temperature on your 2nd gen. Mine seems to be running a little hot. Anyway, I know the temperature changes on where your riding but what does your temp gauge say riding in town, stop/start traffic and when running the highway. When I am in town (about 70 when riding) it shoots up to have or even further. When Im on the highway, maybe a third of the way up the gauge. Any thoughts would help. Thanks

Not sure about Gen2 bikes, I have a Gen1, but I am very happy with the new temp switch I installed. It turns on the fan at about half way up the gauge. It would normally be almost at the red line before turning on the fan with the stock temperature switch. It keeps the bike running cooler as a result.
Doesn't exactly answer your question, but if you can do this cheap mod, you may find the answer to your question becomes moot.
IMHO.
Cheers!
Ross
