I had the double d for over 30k miles and recently had shoulder surgury,so my
left side is a bit weaker, and I was tired of the gorilla grip needed for it,so I
got all 15 clutch plates from Sean Morley to go along with my pcw spring..He did
a great job w customer service and the parts had good prices. Also nice to deal
with someone who really knows the vmax rather than a clerk who only knows whats
on the monitor..
anyway, this combo is excellent..The clutch operation is way smoother, and WAY
less "clunk" going from neutral to 1st..I would recommend this setup over the
double d,anytime imo.Randy

I have done the double D two years ago and at first it was really tight so I purchased forearm grip strengtheners. I then found on ebay aftermarket GEN 1 adjustable grips that allowed me to have the same easy pull grip as the stock. I now run these and do not have to worry about a tight grip for the clutch. I highly recommend this instead of the PCW since its not as strong as the double D.
