Here is a discussion of the lowering of the GEN2: http://www.starvmax.com/forum/30-wanted-items/137596-lowering-kit

Take note that if you go more than 1" you will need to shorten your kickstand or replace with an adjustable one. One of our vendors here, VooDoo, can help you out on this venture. They are very knowledgeable and great to work with.

You can lower your Gen 2, 2in and it will still be able to use the factory kickstand. I have mine sitting on the factory with 2in lowered in the rear and 1in in the front.
Don't get me wrong I am looking for a kickstand also to go lower. I was told that the one that jon and voodoo has will break. Not sure if I want to put my 30K machine on that stand or not. I don't know if it will or not but wish it had a better platform to stand on so not ot sink in the ground

We haven't had any issues with our kickstands breaking.

I was going to make a strut and replace the factory shock. Well there is a company here in NC that makes them and he said if I bring my shock to him he could make me a strut. Now some will say that would not be good, but to me the factory shock is to stiff anyway and I have ridden busa's with struts with little air pressure and there is not that much difference. Plus it will get me lower to the ground which is what I want anyway. Also I have the Dale Walker handle bars and with them I can lower the front down one more in. I already have them lowered 1in and am going to lower them down another once I can get a kickstand. The factory is at the very min, right now. Bike stand almost straight up.
