The Gen II is a great touring bike with the addition of some highway pegs. I made a custom peg locating bar and now have no problem doing any long distance rides on the Gen II.

Hey Dannie. Send a PM to Rick Porier (Maxgasser-5219) about the Highway Bars he's fabricated for the Gen2's. He's made / sold several sets already since last fall and I'm one of the lucky ones to have been using a set for several months now. I'll never give them up... they're just that good for cruising. Attached is a pic of them on the bike.

The cost of the MAXRELAXER's is $235 shipped in the US. the MAXRELAXER's are a different design then the first pair posted here, those look like they may interfere with cornering. The maxrelaxer's come in raw steel for finishing to your liking and are a simple and quick one bolt install They also require a peg of your chosing with a 3/8 stud.Designed to break away in crash, these ARE NOT CRASH BARS tested by me to 140mph and over 5000 miles

Hi I found some on eBay for reasonable price. They usual have aftermarket ones but also used ones. Not sure of manufacturer that has them, but I know there are several out there that work. Hope that helps. Have a fun trip!

Send a message to maxgasser-5219. Rich Porier makes the ones shown above. I was talking about for gen 1 above, but sounds like you are looking for gen 2 set as shown prior in the thread. I a sure Rich can get you hooked up. Take care
