Hi. I just put a new 2011 VMX17 in my garage. I have around 1000 kms on it and the first service has been done. I've read a few other forums about Yamalube vs synthetic oil. I ran both Mobil 1 15W-50 and Amsoil 20W-50 in my Gen1 with great results. I thought the Amsoil ran a bit smoother. Any reasons not to do the same with my Gen2? Is there a break-in period? If so how long? I've seen Yamalube that is regular mineral oil, semi-synthetic and full synthetic. However the manual doesn't differentiate. It just says, "Recommended ... Yamalube."
