Hi all! This is my second go-around with a VMax. I saw one in a parking lot one day and it was love at first sight. I thought it was a little too much bike for me, a beginner, so in I ended up buying a VStar instead. I sold the VStar and found an '85 VMax on eBay in SC and had it shipped to Utah. It was such a fun bike to ride. I ended up having to sell it about 5 years ago so I was without a bike for almost 5 years. Last spring I found a great deal on a 2006 with 35k miles on it so now I'm back to riding again. I replaced the rear tire, handlebars (they weren't stock), front fork seals, a leaky gasket on the stator cover. and had to re-tap the screw holes in the brake lever box on the handlebars. Relatively minor stuff. This season I'll be replacing the front tire as soon as I can.

It's still as fun as it ever was to ride.

Welcome back to the VMAX world!!! Its hard to stay away from such an exiting bike for sure. I've owned a good handful of vmax's myself and know the feeling all too well here too...

Enjoy riding and be safe out there.
