If you own a V-Max and are still asking "Why Should I Join the VMOA"?
Consider this:
The VMOA is THE premier Vmax enthusiast club in the world today with over 1000 members worldwide, and more joining all the time. More members means more resources to provide more member benefits.
The VMOA is a not-for-profit organization. All proceeds from membership and from the VMOA store go directly back into the club to operate the club and benefit the membership. No VMOA officers or members are paid for their contributions to the organization.
All club officers are Vmax enthusiasts just like you who have volunteered their time to promote the Vmax and help fellow motorcyclists.
The VMOA has negotiated discounts with Yamaha dealers and accessory parts manufacturers/distributors to SAVE MEMBERS MONEY on virtually any part or accessory for you or your Vmax. Most VMOA members save much more than the cost of membership dues in the first few months from the vendor discounts alone. The VMOA is constantly reviewing and adding to it's list of member discounts.
As a member, you'll receive four issues per year of the clubs publication, the V-Boost magazine, which contains Vmax members bike articles, technical articles, accessory and parts evaluations, club event info and write-ups, and the latest breaking news on the Vmax. The V-Boost is only available to VMOA members.
The VMOA Store offers exclusive merchandise to members only. Items like unique and collectable club T-shirts, women's and kid's apparel, caps, patches and more. New merchandise will be added on a continual basis to ensure the members have new Vmax items available to show off the bike they love and the club that promotes it!
The VMOA maintains a database of members who are willing to provide assistance to other members in the event of a problem encountered while on a trip away from home. Things like tools, a place to camp or a room, garage work space, or bike pickup assistance. You'll be hard pressed to find this kind of member camaraderie in any organization - proof the VMOA members are second to none in hospitality! Many members contact others in distant areas to plan meetings and/or rides as part of their journey or while on business trips.
The VMOA hosts events worldwide to get you involved and help you to meet others and make friends with those who share your interest in the Vmax motorcycle. Some areas have regular meetings and more are being added all the time.
As a member, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the organization as a local chapter representative in your area to hold regular meetings or get-togethers, rides, or even events.
Each new member receives a welcome packet containing a membership card, club patch, and club information.
