Hello, I have been riding a 1985 VMax for 19 yrs and it has been a good time and out of all the bikes I have owned over the years the VMax has been my favorite. But as they say time and age marches on so I recently obtained a FJR 1300. It is more comfortable for me and my wife but I am not a collector so the VMax will be leaving my garage. The bike is stock except second gar went out at 71,000 miles so I got an 1989 engine with only 19,000 miles and exchanged the engines. The questions I have are, does an 85 VMax have much value and does an 85 engine with 71,000 have any value? I have looked around on the inter-web and found few examples of the 85 for sale, is this because no one wants them or a lot of people want them? If anyone out there has any input please jump in because I have no idea what an 85 VMax with 19,000 miles on the engine is worth. Thanks , Rod
